Batteries for the MexiStim / Energy Cleaner

The MexiStim is based on Lee's 2nd version which was used with good results on over 10,000 people according to him. The MexiStim is designed to use 10 'D' cell batteries to provide 3 volts of direct current to the aluminum screen.

Any 'D' cell battery will work, doesn't matter if it is carbon, alkaline, zinc or rechargeable.

A new battery will measure 1.5 volts or more. Batteries will last 2-3 years at which time they should be inspected for possible leakage and the voltage level measured. If any battery measures less than 1.5 volt, it should be replaced with a new one. Best to just replace them ALL and use the still good batteries in flashlights and other items.

In the photos above, you can see the crystallized acid from a battery leaking and how it corroded and damaged this early Crock Aura Therapy machine.

Many battery chemicals are corrosive, poisonous, or both. If leakage occurs, either spontaneously or through accident, the chemicals released may be dangerous. For example, disposable batteries often use a zinc "can" as both a reactant and as the container to hold the other reagents.

If this kind of battery is run all the way down, or if it is recharged after running down too far, the reagents can emerge through the cardboard and plastic that form the remainder of the container. The active chemicals can then damage the equipment that they were inserted into.

You can buy a cheapie voltmeter from Radio Shack to test the battery voltage or you can take the batteries there to be tested and replaced as needed. Don't risk corrosion damaging your machine.
